About Us
The Fine Speakers Bureau has talented speakers experts in various topics who can offer quality speeches, presentations, seminars and more. We stand ready to help you deliver an outstanding event that offers value to your event's participants. The Fine Speakers Bureau is a community service of Prokopis Christou. 

How do I book a speaker?

First review our list of speakers and topics to identify a good fit for your situation. Then submit the online Request Speaker Availability form. Your request will be forwarded to the speaker you requested who will contact you to discuss your needs. All booking arrangements must be coordinated between you and the speaker. Once you finalize booking arrangements, we ask that you confirm them with the speaker and the Bureau President.

What it will cost you to use our speakers

The Bureau charges $20 per hour per attendee for each booked event. However, we will waive our charges because we are a not-for-profit bureau.

Speaker fees: Our speakers have agreed to speak for no fee when they speak at events as Bureau members. Note: Some of our members are high performance professional speakers and offer fee-based presentations, workshops, and seminars as part of their business. You are welcome to hire any of our speakers directly for paid presentations as you wish. When you hire a speaker for a paid performance, they cannot be "representatives" of the Bureau and that all coordination, liabilities and responsibilities are between you and the speaker. 

Note to seminars/course organizers: We encourage adult schools, continuing education programs, schools, and seminar providers to use our speakers for their programs. We ask that you offer our speakers the same compensation arrangements you offer to other instructors.

Speaker Travel and Other Expenses: Our speakers will not charge you for travel expenses if your event location is within 20 miles of their base. Speakers may ask you to reimburse them or to pay in advance for travel expenses beyond 20 miles of their base, and for expenses for handouts or other materials if you ask them to produce these materials for your event.

Donations: Donations and honorariums to help the bureau pay for its expenses are welcome. Please contact the Bureau President for details.

Other Services: In addition to providing topical speeches, many Bureau members can serve as masters of ceremonies, keynote speakers, speech contest judges, class reunion conductors, parade announcers, or facilitators or participants in other programs. Refer to each speaker's details for availability.
